Today,
our class discussion revolves around other things that can affect demand
aside from price. I let my students write about their experiences being a
consumer. I choose at least five of my students to share their list in the
class.

Learner-centered
|
Students
sharing something about their experiences is a lot more fun for the students.
And it’s not just all about fun for the students. And it’s not just all about
fun but while they are having fun, they are also gaining some knowledge from
the shared experiences.

Our
topic is the other things that can affect demand aside from price. The
activity that I did last meeting is the one I did today. But compare from
last meeting, only few from my class are willing to share their experience.

Still,
our topic today is other thing that affect demand aside from price. The
classes that I’ve tought today are very eager to learn and very motivated
because of the activity or motivation that I have made them which is the same
activity from the other section.

Our
topic for today is price elasticity. I made a list of product that my
students daily consumes or their family consumes normally. But instead of its
normal prices, I make its prices 10% higher. And I made them choose what
products are they still willingly to buy even though it’s 10% higher. I
choose at least five students to share their thoughts in the class.
|
Critical
Thinking
|
Students
willingly participate in the class if they can relate to the topic. And
students can develop their critical thinking skills by just simply throwing
questions that can help them think about reality of the world kind of things.

Our
topic is types of elasticity. I
divided the class into four groups and they make a list of important and
unimportant things or product that they consume every day. Each group
presents their lists with a brief explanition

someday, what kind of business would you pursue? (2) what do you think the
key to be a successful businessman or businesswoman? These questions are
answered by groups. I divide the class into four groups. Each group presents
their answer in the class.

Our
topic this days is about things that can affect supply. After I’ve explain
briefly the things than can affect the supply. I’ve divided the class into
five groups and they will make a short role play that shows how these things
that I’ve explained affect the supply. Each group has different theme that
I’ve assigned to them.

Using
psychomotor is really enjoyable for the students. Their creativity always
shows up in these kinds of situations. They are not just having fun but they
are also learning through these kind of activities.

Our
topic for today is about price elasticity of supply. Since this topic is all
about computation and math problems, I group them into four groups and we
play a game that whichever group to solve the problems that I wrote on the
board correctly will get a bonus points in the quiz today.

Brainstorming,
cooperative learning, learner-centered.

Our
topic for today is shortage and surplus. I brought two boxes in my class with
two different products in each box and different numbers. One is too much for
the class and the other one is not enough for the whole class. I group the
class into two and gave them fake money and they shop in the two boxes. At
the end, the box with too much number of goods in it has many left while the
other has none left. Each group analyze the situation and presented their
hypothesis about the matter in the class.

Brainstorming,
Cooperative learning, Constructivism, learner- centered, Socratic method
|
Discovery
learning has a great effect in the retainment of the knowledge in the
students. Since they discover it themselves, the chance of retainment of the
knowledge has a big percent.
|
|
|
Our
topic for today is about the changes in the market. There are four happenings
or changes in the market. I group the class into four groups and I assigned
them each changes in the market. They will analyze each group that I’ve given
them and they will present their hypothesis in the class
|
Brainstorming,
Cooperative Learning, Constuctivism, Learner-Centered, Socratic method

The
more they think about how thingshappen or the more they construct to
themselvesthe higher the chance of the retainment of learning for the
students.

Today
is the start of the 3rd grading period. Our topic is the cycle of
the economy. In this topic, we had a discussion about this and I make sure
that I explained this carefully to my students because this topic is quite
hard. So to avoid confussion, I discussed it to them and make them repeat it
for their classmates.
|
Socratic
method
|
My
cooperating teacher always told me to always treat my students as elementary
students because athough they said that they understand, sometimes they
really don’t.

Our
topic to this days are national income. I started this topic with a simple
question, “how would you know if a person is rich?” after a few answers of my
students’ basis of what a person needs to have to be called rich, I connected
it to our topic.

Question
and Answer, Socratic method

Always
start the lesson to a simple question that the students know because it will
trigger something in the students that will lead to their interest or it
might motivate them as well
